Authorities from the region participated today in a ceremony for the Americas launch of the United Nations Decade of Healthy Aging 2021-2030, organized by the Government of Chile, ECLAC and PAHO.
Paraguay will host the fourth Regional Intergovernmental Conference on Ageing and the Rights of Older Persons in Latin America and the Caribbean, to be held June 27-30 in Asunción.
The meeting was inaugurated by the regional commission’s Deputy Executive Secretary, Antonio Prado, and by Chile’s Undersecretary for Social Services, Juan Eduardo Faúndez.
