Description

This workshop was conceived as an instance to learn on the one hand how to migrate different sources of information into Redatam and on the other hand how to develop applications which facilitates the dissemination of these data, through the Web using the R+SP WebServer.

Registration is now open for the online regional workshop: Measurement of SDG indicators and follow-up of the 2030 Development Agenda through the processing of census data with REDATAM and mapping with QGis

Classes will be taught by modules of three hours daily, for six days, and will be streamed using the Teams platform. They will focus on the processing, analysis and mapping of indicators from population and housing censuses using Redatam and QGis with the goal of learning their functionalities. We will explore the potential offered by censuses in the generation of indicators for monitoring the Agenda 2030 and the SDGs.

CARIBBEAN: Online regional training workshop on measuring indicators for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development through the use of census data with REDATAM and mapping with QGis.

During the week of November 8th to 15th, for six days, a virtual workshop was held for the Caribbean countries. This was organized jointly by CELADE-Population Division of UN ECLAC and the Regional Office of UN ECLAC for the Caribbean. There were 33 participants from the National Statistical Offices of Barbados, Belize, Jamaica, Saint Lucia, Montserrat, Bahamas, Dominica, Suriname, Turks & Caicos, Grenada, Saint Kitts & Nevis, Saint Vincent & Grenadines and Montserrat.

MATERNILAC-Caribbean database: Tables of motherhood by educational level are included for the first time

In addition to the 12 new tables included a few weeks ago, now users and visitors of MATERNILAC-Caribbean will find 2 new tables containing standardized census information on educational level and motherhood, disaggregated, as always, by age level and age groups.
