eLAC is a plan of action for Latin America and the Caribbean, according to the Millennium Development Goals and the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), with a long-term vision -towards 2015- which states that information and communication technologies (ICTs) are tools for economic development and social inclusion. The Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean, ECLAC, acts as the Technical Secretariat of this regional action plan, monitoring advances, publishing information bulletins and exchanging information among the stakeholders.

The regional agreements on the information society will be renewed in Mexico

The eLAC process reaches its tenth anniversary and is renewed with a new digital agenda towards 2018.

Help us build the new eLAC agenda!

We invite members of the public and private sector, as well as from the academia and civil society, to participate in the public consultation to define the priorities of the new Action Plan.
