Regional preparatory process for Latin America and the Caribbean

In the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Meeting Preparatory to the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development, which was held at the headquarters of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in Santiago, from 7 to September 9 2011, countries agreed to a joint conclusion. Working Documents

Inter-agency document entitled “Sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean 20 years on from the Earth Summit: progress, gaps and strategic guidelines”. This document comprises a review of the progress and gaps in the implementation of sustainable development in Latin America and the Caribbean, and guidelines addressing the identified gaps. The preliminary version, presented at the Regional Preparatory Meeting, is currently being revised and the final version will be published in 2012.
