The Summer School on Latin American Economies is a post-graduate training course directed to young researches interested in studying, analyzing and understanding, the Latin American experience.
Latin American development is an interesting research topic for those who want to analyze development, industrialization, trade, growth, equity and democracy in a context that switched from a closed to an open economy, and the United Nations Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean is a privileged observatory for carrying out these research tasks.
ECLAC has been the think tank of the Latin American "development thought" and our Summer School on Latin American Economies bridges the regional pioneers' studies with current research findings offering to the new generation of economists and researchers the opportunity to debate, discuss and analyze the Latin American development from a "regional", non conventional and policy oriented approach.
